KABUL– H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, welcomes on the Occasion of Eid-ul-adha, the release of 81 Afghan prisoners that were being held by the Coalition Forces in Afghanistan. 

“Bringing happiness to a Muslim family during Eid is a great reward, and our people should also live joyfully during Eid like other Muslims around the world” the President said. 

The Prisoners were released with the cooperation of the Afghan Government and the Coalition Forces and belonged to different provinces of Afghanistan.
