Presidential Palace, Kabul –H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, is saddened that a fire in a Tehran mosque resulted in the death of 59 people

More than 250 people were injured during the incident.

“On behalf of the people of Afghanistan, I would like to present my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Iran”, The President said in his reaction to the news.
