President Karzai Receives Phone Call from British Prime Minister Blair

Presidential Palace, Kabul – H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, received a phone call today at  6pm from British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

In the conversation, the situation of Afghanistan and the fight against narcotics were discussed as well as the visit tomorrow of Mr.Jack Straw, the British Minister of Foreign Affairs. The revised strategy on counter-narcotics will be discussed during Mr.Straw’s visit to Afghanistan.
