Presidential Palace, Kabul – H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, returned today from his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

 During his visit, the President addressed the Jeddah Economic Forum, highlighting the economic opportunities in Afghanistan to investors and entrepreneurs in the region. The President held bilateral talks with H.R.H. Crown Prince Abdullah and H.E. Shaukat Aziz, Prime Minister of Pakistan.

 The President also performed the Umrah pilgrimage, and gifted, on behalf of the Afghan people, traditional Afghan carpets to the Holy Mosque of the Prophet (PBUH) in the Holy city of Madina.
