Arg, Kabul – H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan expressed his regret at the death of all the sixteen people on board a helicopter that went down in southern province of Paktia on Wednesday.

The Russian-made MI-8 helicopter crashed in a mountain in the district of Janikhel of Khost while returning to Kabul.

The President, on behalf of the people of Afghanistan, expressed his sympathies and condolences to the families and relatives of the victims.
