President Hamid Karzai Strongly Condemns the Attempt on the Life of Padsha Kan Zadran

H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, strongly condemned the attempt on the life of Padsha Khan Zadran, a prominent Afghan MP.

According to reports, the enemies of Afghanistan detonated explosives-laden vehicle near a car belonging to MP Padshah Khan Zadran, about 50 metres (yards) away from his residence in Kabul, wounding three of his bodyguards in his car, along with five civilian passers-by.

The President called this heinous act as animosity towards the people of Afghanistan and their representatives and said, “The enemies of Afghanistan, by killing people’s representatives, want to disrupt the democratic process in the country.”

“The people’s elected representatives are the voice of justice and national unity in Afghanistan, and our enemies must understand that they will never be able to stifle this voice.”
