President Hamid Karzai Left for New York

 

Arg, Kabul – His Excellency Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, left for New York this morning to attend the sixty-second session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

During the session, President Hamid Karzai will address the United Nations General Assembly on a wide range of issues related to Afghanistan.

During this visit, President Hamid Karzai will meet with His Excellency George W Bush, President of the United States of America, H.E Nicolas Sarkozy, President of the Republic of France, H.E Lech Kaczyński, President of the Republic of Poland, H.E Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, Head of the World Bank, and H.E Lakhdar Brahimi, former United Nations Special Representative for Afghanistan.

The President is accompanied on this trip by Dr Rangeen Dadfar Spanta, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Zalmai Rasoul, National Security Advisor, Dr Eshaq Naderi, Senior Advisor to the President on Economic Affairs, Muhammad Umer Dauodzai, Chief of Staff to the President and Humayun Hamidzada, Spokesman to the President.
