President Karzai Leaves For Italy, Will Attend Funeral Ceremony Of H.H. Pope John Paul II

Presidential Palace, Kabul – H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, left today, Thursday 07 April, for Rome, Italy, where he will attend the funeral ceremony of His Holiness Pope John Paul II in Vatican on Friday.

President Karzai will be one of the many Muslims leaders around the world attending the funeral ceremony of the late Pontiff.
