Arg, Presidential Compound, Kabul – H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, left for Saudi Arabia this morning to attend the funeral ceremony of King Fahd of Saudi Arabia.  

The President was accompanied by former Presidents Prof. Ustad Burhanuddin Rabbani and Prof. Sebghatullah Mujaddadi, Dr Zalmay Rasul, National Security Advisor, and Jihadi leader Ayatullah Sheikh Mohammad Asif Mohseni.

Dr. Abdullah, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan and Jihadi leader Pir Sayed Ahmad Gilani will also join the President in Riyadh.
