Arg, Kabul – H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, offered his heartfelt congratulations to Abdul Salaam Azimi, Ali Behsoudi, Muhammad Umar Babrakzai, Ghulam Nabi Nawabi and Abdul Rashid Rashed on obtaining approval from the Parliament of Afghanistan.

The Parliament of Afghanistan gave a vote of confidence to Abdul Salaam Azimi as Chief Justice and Head of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan, Ali Behsoudi, Muhammad Umar Babrakzai, Ghulam Nabi Nawabi and Abdul Rashid Rashid as Members of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan.

The President called approval of the proposed Head and Members of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan as a significant achievement towards improving the country’s judicial system, and thanked the Parliament of Afghanistan for giving the vote of confidence to the Head and Members of the Parliament in consideration of the people’s interest.

The President wishes the Head and Members of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan successes in serving the people of Afghanistan and reforming the country’s judicial system.
