President Hamid Karzai Becomes Father

Dr Zeenat Karzai, First Lady of Afghanistan, gave birth to a healthy baby boy last Thursday at the Rabia-e-Balkhi Maternity Hospital in Kabul city. Mr Hamid Karzai and Dr. Zeenat Qurraishi got married in 1999. President Hamid Karzai expressed happiness at the birth of his first child and said, “I hope the Almighty God will bless my son with the ability to serve the noble and Muslim people of Afghanistan.” |
President Hamid Karzai became the father of a newborn baby boy on Thursday, 25 January 2007, and with great pleasure named him Mirwais.
