The Inquiry Commission on Wali Jan’s Murder Presents Its Report to the President

On November 26, The members of the inquiry commission appointed through a presidential decree to investigate the death of Wali Jan, son of Akhtar Muhammad Khan Ibrahim Khil completed their investigation and presented the results of their meetings with the people and government authorities in Mazar-e-Sharif to the President. The report containing the suggestions of the people of Balkh province was presented to President Hamid Karzai by Shahzada Massoud, Advisor to the President and Chair of the commission. After hearing the report the President instructed the Department of Rights in the Ministry of National Defence to seek further clarifications from NATO-ISAF authorities regarding the matter, in light of which subsequent actions could be taken. |
