Luncheon at Presidential Palace Celebrates Afghanistan’s Independence

On August 19, a luncheon was held in the Presidential Palace celebrating Afghanistan’s Independence Day.

Attendees included President Hamid Karzai and senior officials of the government and military. Ambassadors and diplomats from the international community were also present.

Participants congratulated President Karzai on the 87^th anniversary of Afghanistan’s independence.
