President Karzai Meets Afghan Students Studying in India

 On November 18, President Karzai met with Afghan students studying in India, saying, “No other country in the world is in such urgent need of a skilled and educated class as Afghanistan.”
In an address to the gathering in New Delhi, the President said, “I am confident that you are using this opportunity in the best way possible. The future of Afghanistan depends on you. Your hard endeavors today will definitely provide a better tomorrow for yourselves and your people.” The President advised the students to live simply and not to give up against the difficulties of studying far from home, promising the Afghan Government’s support to help them earn their Master’s degree and/or doctorates. |
