President Hamid Karzai giving the key to a four-room apartment to the father of Akida On December 16, President Hamid Karzai received Hajji Muhammad Yonous, Head of the Shadab Zafar Construction Firm, Zemarai Kamgar, Head of the Kam Air Airline Company, and father of Akida at the Gul Khana Palace.

The President gave the key to a four-room apartment to the father of Akida, a teenage Afghan girl, who was disabled during NATO’s anti-terrorist operation in Panjwayee district of Kandahar province.

The Shadab Zafar construction firm donated an apartment to Akida who lost 20 of her family members during NATO’s operation in Panjwayee district.

Also, Zemarai Kamgar expressed his preparedness to fund the pilgrimage of 20 poor Afghans to Mecca.

The President thanked Hajji Muhammad Yonous and Zemarai Kamgar for treating their poor countrymen with generosity and thoughtfulness and said, “I hope other Afghan businessmen will also extend a helping hand to the poor and vulnerable.”
