On December 13, President Karzai listened to the problems and requests of Hindu-Afghans in a meeting in the province Kandahar.
The current problems Hindu-Afghans living in Kandahar raised with the President included lack of a separate school, illegal occupation of their lands and a worship temple. They asked the government to assist them with these problems and to allocate land for building their shops.
The President instructed the governor to work on tackling their problems.
