In a meeting on Saturday with judges following their participation in a judicial seminar organized for the heads of provincial courts, President Karzai stressed it was the duty of judges to ensure justice, a key element in ensuring security.

Speaking on others’ behalf were Bahauddin Baha, a Supreme Court justice and Abdul Ghafar Sayeem, a Provincial Chief Judge, who briefed on the results of the “Provincial Chief Judges Seminar, held on 2^nd through 9^th November in Kabul. The seminar helped investigate 380 cases and introduce new methods and approaches of addressing judicial problems.

“The Seminar provided an opportunity to sort out issues that were left unlooked for many years,” continued Mr. Baha “The Supreme Court will continue to make every possible effort to improve the judicial system in the country.”
