On December 9, President Karzai received a number of community elders from Tagab district of Kapisa province at the Presidential Palace.
Representing the community, two of the elders requested assistance for the families of the victims and those harmed during the recent military operation in Tagab district.
The visiting community elders called for further efforts in the areas of reconstruction efforts, education, roads, hospital, mosque and electricity for their district.
The President listened to the elders’ requests and said, “Families affected by military operations will receive necessary assistance in accordance with a decree already issued and reconstruction is well on track, and you will witness the results soon.”
The President emphasized on unity among tribes in the country and said, the government employees have to work for reconstruction of the districts and improving the living conditions of people regardless of affiliation to any political party and tribes.
