The gathering was part of a series of consultation sessions discussing the general situation in Afghanistan and ways of improving it.  Participants included:  former presidents Sebghatullah Mujadedi and Burhanuddin Rabani, both vice-presidents, speakers of the Senate and Lower House, and other government and influential figures.
