President Karzai Issues Decree

 On November 07, President Karzai issued a presidential decree appointing a commission to organize the regional security meeting of tribal elders on both sides of the Afghan-Pakistan border.
The commission is headed by Pir Sayed Ahmad Gilani, a national and spiritual personality of Afghanistan. Other members of the commission include: Ustad Hajji Muhammad Mohaqiq, Member of Parliament; Sheikulhadis Mawlawi Fazl Hadi Shinwari, Head of Afghanistan’s Ulema Council; and Farouq Wardak, Head of the Office of Administrative Affairs. The names of the commission’s other members will be announced at a later date. |
