President Karzai Chairs a Meeting on Administrative ReformOn November 05, President Karzai chaired a meeting on the adjustment of Government salaries, administrative reform, and the positions of Government employees.

In attendance were the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Justice, and Finance, as well as members of a commission tasked with investigating and reporting on these areas.

President Karzai heard their reports and emphasized the equal and fair implementation of the process.  He also emphasized improving the Government’s salary scale and observation of social justice among its senior and junior employees.

The President pointed out that effectively fighting narcotics requires the international community to increase its assistance to Afghan farmers as part of the alternative livelihood program.

He also spoke about changes in the Supreme Court and the Attorney General’s Office and emphasized the Government’s determination to fight corruption through these two institutions.
