On March 01, President Hamid Karzai met Afghan MPs and community representatives from the province of Ghazni at the Presidential Palace.
The MPs briefed the President on the general situation in the province of Ghazni, and asked the Government to speed up reconstruction work in their respective province.
They specifically asked the Government to improve security, increase the number of NSP projects, build roads, health centers and a University, set up raisin processing factory, rebuild the Sultan dam, and open religious schools.
It was decided that a special meeting will be held next week to discuss the issues in further detail so that practical decisions can be made for improving the living conditions of the people of Ghazni. The meeting will be attended by MPs from the province of Ghazni and representatives of relevant ministries.
